Design Excellence Forum 2024 is an event dedicated to exploring the forefront of design, innovation and sustainability, curated by Ramboll Design Excellence Board in collaboration with LRL Space and Department of Civil , Environmental and Geomatic Engineering of UCL.
The state of the art UCL PEARL – Person Environment Activity Research Laboratory – a unique facility that explores ways in which people interact with their environment is getting ready to host the second edition of the Design Excellence Forum and welcome distinguished guests and speakers.
It’s a massive, meticulously designed space – around 4000 m2 and 10m high – based in Dagenham in East London.
At PEARL, it is possible to mimic the lighting conditions, smells and sounds, and make changes under controlled conditions to understand if this affects how we experience the place.
