On October 20th, our founding director Stanislava Boskovic delivered a talk titled “Patterns of Natural Inclusivity” at her alma mater, Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio – USI, as part of a MSc1-2/MSTAA course on Inclusive Architecture led by Dr Anna Bernardi.
In her lecture, she emphasized that inclusion is not a one-size-fits-all solution but a context-dependent, dynamic process. Truly inclusive spaces are responsive, flexible, safe, convenient, welcoming, and attuned to multiple scales.
She highlighted that creating such environments requires continuous effort, shared knowledge, open dialogue, and a willingness to adapt. Inclusion, she noted, is never static — its meaning shifts from person to person, shaped by individual experiences, identities, and needs.
